I’m Laura and I’m the main author of German-American Abroad. I grew up in a rural area in Germany and enjoyed the European lifestyle for quite a while. In my early twenties I decided to drastically change my life and move to the exciting city of New York. The Big Apple has helped me in shaping my perspective on life, love and all great things in general. I’ve come to nurture my passion in writing and photography over the past 6 years I’ve been calling New York my home. It was only a matter of time until I decided to go on the worldwideweb and connect with a larger audience.
I originally started this blog to update some close friends and family on how I was doing so far away from home. It turns out, a great amount of other people (and strangers) also became interested in my writings. So here I am, about 5 years after creating this blog. Connected with a bunch of amazing people while describing day-to-day life in what has now turned into a multitude of travels and other adventures.
Thank you for taking the time and reading through my site.
